To Lake
Lenape:
-
From Ocean City
take
the Atlantic City Expressway to Exit 12. Make a left at the traffic
light just before the Hamilton Mall onto Rt. 575.Go 1/4 mile and
make a right at the light onto Rt. 40/322. Go about 4 miles and exit
on Rt. 50 South. Go 1 mile and turn right onto 13th Street.
To the Schuylkill River:
From South Jersey
via the Walt Whitman Bridge:
- Take I-76, the
Schuylkill Expressway, west.
- Follow I-76 West
to exit 340 on the right.
- Take this exit,
turn right at foot of exit and get in the left lane as you go
over City Avenue Bridge across the Schuylkill River.
- Stay left and
follow signs for Kelly Drive.
- The ramp will
spiral downwards in a counter-clockwise direction and will merge
you onto Kelly Drive, southbound. Be very careful, especially
if you are pulling a boat trailer on this tight, descending
curve!
- Move to right
lane of Kelly Drive after merging at the bottom of the spiral.
- Take Kelly Drive
past four traffic lights.
Parking at the Schuylkill for Regattas:
Kelly Drive is closed to thru
traffic for regattas at Strawberry Mansion Bridge. Parking
occurs along the section that is closed to thru traffic right on
Kelly Drive itself – Parking is on the diagonal to the curb
closest to the river. Parking traffic is permitted with a
parking pass and goes only in one direction – towards Center
City. Therefore the best way to approach the regatta and parking
is to get onto Kelly Drive either from Ridge Ave or the Falls
Bridge. The Drive opens back up to traffic downstream from the
grandstands at Fountain Green Drive.
Park wherever you find a space
and head to our tent. We are usually closer to where the boats
go into the water. Look for the OCHS Crew trailer.
When parking is full along Kelly
Drive, the police will not allow cars along Kelly Drive and you
will have to go up the hill via Strawberry Hill Drive and park
up along E. Reservoir Drive. The point at which Kelly Drive is
blocked offers easy access to Strawberry Hill Drive by veering
off to the left. Never park on the grass (unless it is a paid
parking event) or you risk a $100 parking ticket!! Once you’ve
legally parked your car, your choices for getting to the river
bank are a) to hike thru the woods and down the steep hill
(definitely shorter, wear good shoes and pay attention to where
you are going) or b) along the road towards Center City and
double back on Kelly Drive to the event.
Keep in mind that West River
Drive closes to traffic from the Art Museum to Falls Bridge
starting in April. If you are coming from Boathouse Row to the
regatta you will have to work your way back onto Kelly Drive
from above where it is blocked.

using GPS, the address to find St. Andrew's is: 350 Noxontown
Road, Townsend, DE 19734
From
Philadelphia and the North: Take I-95 South into Delaware. If
you are coming from New York City, you will enter Delaware going
over the I-295 Delaware Memorial Bridge. Continue on I-95 South
towards Baltimore. Exit at 4-A (sign to Christiana Mall) and
follow signs to Route 1 South. Stay on Route 1 going over the
bridge with the yellow arches and continue through the tollbooth
($1 weekdays, $2 weekends). Remain on Route 1 South until Route
299 (Middletown/Odessa Exit). Take a right onto Rte. 299 towards
Middletown. At the second light, turn left onto Silver Lake
Road. Proceed until it ends at Noxontown Road. Cross Noxontown
Road and enter through the stone pillars. Park in the circle in
front of Founders Hall.
For visiting
Crew teams, please proceed on Noxontown Road over the bridge and
turn into the second entrance on the right into the gated Rodney
Point Picnic Grounds.

To Mercer Lake Park (Marina area)

From Route 1 North or South
* Exit at Quaker Bridge Rd. (South)
* Follow Quaker Bridge Rd. (South) for about one miles (large mall
on right)
* Go over Railroad Bridge, stay in left lane for about ˝ mile
* Make left on Hughes Road (a nursery is on the left side of road
just after turn)
* Follow Hughes Rd. for about 1/2 miles
* Make left into Mercer Lake Park
* Follow Park Rd. for about

To Cooper River:
Take the Atlantic City Expressway to Route 42 North to
Interstate 295 North Exit 34B (Cherry Hill/Route 70
West).Proceed approximately 5 miles west on Route 70. You will
pass Calvary Cemetery on your right. You will see Bishop Eustace
Prep on your left and Goodwill be on your right. There is a jug
handle that wraps around Goodwill. Follow the jug handle on your
right and cross over Rt.70 and proceed into the Eustace parking
lot.
