The Christening of the "Brian Fitzpatrick"
The new varsity boys' boat was christened the "Brian Fitzpatrick" at the Day at the Bay Regatta at Kennedy Park in Somers Point in June, 2006. Brian Fitzpatrick was an original member of the crew program and rowed on the first ever varsity 8 boat at Ocean City High. Brian died in a car accident October 3, 2005. Brian's mother, Ruthann Myers, christened the boat at this very special event. Also in attendance were Brian's dad, Chris Myers, Coach Greg Tracy, fellow rowers, family and friends.
